Actually good cotton rope, one of the more expensive ones on the site. Nice consistent width and not too much stretch along with a smooth slightly soft texture right out of the box.

Has odd Plastic knobs on the end which are kind of awkward. I would advise removing them.

Not Japanese - Woven Cord around solid core, designed in Holland and made in China.
Box describes it as "10 Meters of Soft Silk Rope", but if there is silk in this compound material it is 5% of it. Mostly cotton polyester blend.
